Five-time Emmy nominee Jesse Tyler Ferguson will make his return to Broadway in Becky Mode's comedy Fully Committed, directed by Tony nominee Jason Moore, at the Lyceum Theatre next Spring.

Previews begin on 2 April 2016, before an official opening on 25 April, and a limited engagement through to 24 July 2016.

Ferguson released the following statement:

"I'm beyond thrilled to be making my return to Broadway in a piece I love so much. Becky Mode's hilarious play Fully Committed perfectly captures a genius story at the intersection of food, entertainment and pop culture - and I'm really looking forward to start working with Jason on all of these incredibly funny characters. It's also a dream to be reuniting with Patrick and Barbara who helped bring The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee to Broadway. It feels like a homecoming and I know we are all going to have a ball putting this show together!"
Director Jason Moore added:
"It's so exciting to be working with Jesse and Becky on Fully Committed. I've been searching for my next Broadway project, and this is it - Jesse is a remarkable actor and comedian, and Becky's script is hysterical."
Synopsis: "You think you're having a bad day? Meet Sam. He works the red-hot reservation line at one of New York's trendiest restaurants, where the best food inspires the worst behavior. Coercion, petty threats, bribes, histrionics - a cast of desperate callers, all brought to life by Ferguson, will stop at nothing to land a prime reservation, or the right table. Amid the barrage, Sam has his own problems to deal with. While juggling scheming socialites, name-dropping wannabes, fickle celebrities and egomaniacal bosses, can he still manage to look out for himself?

Ferguson will take on more than 40 roles in the comedy, which are "based on characters created by playwright Becky Mode and Mark Setlock, from their experience working in the blistering world of the high-end restaurant industry."

Fully Committed debuted off-Broadway at the Vineyard Theatre, before transferring to Cherry Lane Theatre. The comedy has also mounted productions in London, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, and Paris.

Fully Committed is produced on Broadway by Barbara Whitman and Patrick Catullo, with creative team members to be announced at a later date.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson made his Broadway debut in 1998 as Chip in 'On The Town.' He returned to Broadway in 2005 as Leaf Coneybear in 'The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.' His off-Broadway credits include 'Where Do We Live?,' 'Little Fish,' 'Newyorkers,' 'Kean,' and the Shakespeare in the Park productions of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream,' 'The Merchant of Venice,' 'The Winter's Tale,' 'The Comedy of Errors,' and 'The Tempest.' He is perhaps best known for his TV role of Mitchell Pritchett in "Modern Family," which has earned him 5 Emmy nominations to date.
