I love to work in them all, but theatre would probably be my first choice.

Your first stage performance was?
Marsha Norman's prison play Getting Out.

Career highlight to date?
Getting to play Shaw's Saint Joan.

What roles would you most like to play?
Any parts written by Shaw, Coward, and of course Pete Gurney.

What is the best advice you have ever received?
what you love in a character.

What has been your most embarrassing moment on stage?
Not being able to control my laughter with my friend Lisa Emery when we did Dinner with Friends.

What is the most annoying part about your job?
Never having control of your schedule because you may get an audition or a job and you will have to cancel previous commitments.

Briefly tell us how you become involved with Black Tie?
I was asked to audition and I did.

If you had not become a performer, what might you have done instead?
Lawyer or a personal organizer.

Who are your favorite actors/actresses?
My husband (Byron Jennings), Meryl Steep, Annette Benning, Peter Sellars.

If you could meet anyone in the world dead or alive who would it be and what would you say to them?
Martin Luther King—I would say thank you.

Favorite after-show haunts?
Orso and Bar Centrale.

Which shows have you seen on Broadway recently?
The Pitmen Painters, Merchant of Venice.

What was the last book you read, and name some of your favorite authors?
Jane Austin, Glass Castle.

What was the last film you saw, and name some of your favorite movies?
King's Speech. Being There, Dark Eyes, Reds, The Sting

Favorite TV programs?
West Wing, The new British Sherlock Holmes series, Boston Legal, 24.

Favorite holiday destinations?
The beach.

Do you have any hobbies?
Organizing

Do you have any superstitions?
Not really.

If you were stranded on a desert island, what three items would you take with you?
My husband, my boys and chardonnay - assuming there was food already there.

What are your future plans?
To keep working ,to keep spending as much time as I can with my family, and to stay healthy.
