Disenchanted! announces 14 June 2015 closing date

Producers Don Frantz and Jonathan Pollard have announced that the off-Broadway production of Disenchanted! will end its run at the Westside Theatre Upstairs on 14 June 2015, following 30 previews and 139 regular performances.

Previews begin for the production on 16 March 2015, before an official opening on 7 April 2015.

Disenchanted! has a book, music and lyrics by Dennis T. Giacino and is directed by Fiely A. Matias. The full cast includes Michelle Knight (Snow White), Becky Gulsvig (Cinderella), Jen Bechter (Sleeping Beauty), Lulu Picart (Hua Mulan/Pocahontas/Princess Badroulbadour), Alison Burns (Belle/The Little Mermaid/Rapunzel), and Soara-Joye Ross (The Princess Who Kissed the Frog).

Synopsis: "Poisoned apples. Glass slippers. Who needs 'em?! Not Snow White and her posse of disenchanted princesses in the new musical comedy that's anything but Grimm. Forget the princesses you think you know. After multiple sold-out runs nationwide, these royal renegades toss off their tiaras to bring their hilariously subversive, not-for-the-kiddies musical to New York City - and fairy tales will never be the same!"

The creative team features scenic design by Gentry Akens, costumes by Vanessa Leuck, lighting by Graham Kindred, musical staging by Matt West, musical arrangements by Robert Meffe, and additional arrangements and musical direction by Michael Raabe. Alongside Don Frantz and Jonathan Pollard, producers include Dave Smith/Randy Klein, Musical Theater China and and Michael Feldman.
