Broadway will be getting a royal make-over next spring because the acclaimed new musical Diana is officially heading to the Great White Way! The Broadway premiere is set to begin previews at the Longacre Theatre on March 2, 2020, ahead of an official opening on March 31.

Diana features a book & lyrics by Joe DiPietro and music & lyrics by David Bryan, who previously collaborated on the Tony Award-winning "Best Musical" Memphis. The production is directed by Tony Award winner Christopher Ashley and choreographed by two-time Tony Award nominee Kelly Devine, who worked together on the smash hit musical Come From Away.

Synopsis: "This is the story of the most famous woman of the modern age: Diana, Princess of Wales. Thrust into a spotlight brighter than any the world had ever known, Diana soon finds herself at odds with her husband, an unrelenting news media, and the monarchy itself. Leading fiercely with her heart, Princess Diana stands up for her family, her country and herself, while managing to capture the hearts of the world. She defied expectations, she rocked the royals and she created a legacy that will endure forever."

The world premiere of Diana was staged at La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego with a sold-out, extended run from February 19 through April 14, 2019. Reprising their respective roles on Broadway from the world premiere production will be Jeanna de Waal (as Diana, Princess of Wales), Roe Hartrampf (as Prince Charles), Erin Davie (as Camilla Parker Bowles), and two-time Tony Award-winner Judy Kaye (as Queen Elizabeth). Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

Jeanna de Waal made her Broadway debut as Heather in Green Day's American Idiot in 2010 and went on to play the role of Lauren in Kinky Boots. She has played the coveted role of Glinda on the National Tour of Wicked and made her West End debut in the Queen musical We Will Rock You. Her Off-Broadway credits include Orwell in America and Carrie and her regional credits include WaitressFinding Neverland, and The Rocky Horror Show.
