Corsicana, a new play by Will Arbery, has set the cast for its world premiere Off-Broadway run. The show runs from June 2 to July 10 at Playwrights Horizons, with an opening night on June 22.

The four-person cast includes Drama Desk Award winner Deirdre O'Connell, who starred in Dana H. on Broadway in 2021, as Justice; Jamie Brewer as Ginny; Will Dagger as Christopher; and Harold Surratt as Lot. The creative team has also been set, with scenic designer Laura Jellinek, costume designer Qween Jean, lighting designer Isabella Byrd, sound designer Justin Ellington, and composer Joanna Sternberg.

Corsicana, set in the titular Texas city, focuses on four people that become a found family. Ginny, a woman with Down syndrome, and her brother Christopher are shaken by their mother's death. A family friend, Justice, introduces them to the reclusive artist Lot, in the hopes that he and Ginny can make a song together to help her process her grief.

The show marks Arbery's second production at Playwrights Horizons, following the 2019 premiere of his his Pulitzer-nominated and Obie Award-winning play Heroes of the Fourth Turning. Sam Gold, who is also helming Macbeth on Broadway this season, directs.
