Casting change for 'School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play'

Gabourey Sidibe and Lovie Simone join the cast, available to stream this Sunday.

Ahead of the streaming premiere of School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play, a cast change has been announced. Gabourey Sidibe will replace Amber Riley, with Lovie Simone replacing Wunmi Mosaku, with the production available to watch from December 13.

The full company of School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play includes the Tony Award-winning actress Cynthia Erivo. Shahadi Wright Joseph, Ashleigh Murray, Storm Reid and Lyric Ross complete the cast.

Inspired by coming-of-age dramas, School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play follows a group of young women at a Ghanian boarding school. Paulina dreams of winning Miss Universe at a pageant, but her status is threatened when Ericka joins the school.

School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play is streaming from December 13.
