Broadway's Come From Away welcomes new cast members

Emily Walton, Becky Gulsvig & Paul Whitty join the smash hit Broadway musical at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre.

Welcome to the Rock! The smash hit musical Come From Away welcomes new residents of Gander tonight, as Emily Walton and Becky Gulsvig reprise their respective roles of Janice and Beverley Bass from the show's National Tour and Paul Whitty also assumes the role of Oz in the main-stem production. Alex FinkeGeno Carr and Tony Award nominee Jenn Colella all played their final performances on November 10.

Emily Walton, who joins her uncle Jim Walton in the production, previously appeared on Broadway in August: Osage County and Peter and the StarcatcherBecky Gulsvig's Broadway résumé includes HairsprayLegally Blonde, and School of Rock, whilst Paul Whitty's previous Broadway credits include The Full MontyOnceAmélie, and, most recently, Gettin' the Band Back Together.

Directed by Tony Award winner Christopher Ashley and written by Tony Award nominees Irene Sankoff & David HeinCome From Away began previews at Broadway's Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on February 18, 2017, and officially opened to excellent reviews on March 12.

Synopsis: "Come From Away is set against the backdrop of that infamous day in September 2001. In a heartbeat, 38 planes and 6,579 passengers were forced to land in Gander, Newfoundland, doubling the population of one small town on the edge of the world. When the world stopped, their stories moved us all."

The creative team behind Come From Away features choreography by Tony Award nominee Kelly Devine, music supervision by Ian Eisendrath, scenic design by Tony Award winner Beowulf Boritt, costume design by Tony Award nominee Toni-Leslie James, lighting design by Tony Award winner Howell Binkley, and sound design by Tony Award nominee Gareth Owen.

Come From Away is produced on Broadway by Junkyard Dog Productions.

Come From Away Tickets are available now for performances through to June 28, 2020.
