Virtuosa at the 45th Street Theatre


Flying Machine Productions presents Virtuosa, book by Diane Seymour, featuring the music of Frederic Chopin, Robert Schumann, Clara Schumann and Johannes Brahms, at the 45th Street Theatre from 19 - 20 Sep 2007, as part of the New York Musical Theater Festival.

Virtuosa explores the extraordinary life of Clara Schumann through the marriage of words and instrumental music. Child prodigy, pianist extraordinaire, composer, muse to several geniuses of the Romantic era, mother of seven, businesswoman- Clara Schumann was a Superwoman before the term existed.

Directed by Bruce Roach, Virtuosa is performed by Katrina Ferguson.

The design team comprises Dawn Testa (costumes) and Graham Kindred (lighting).
