Sound the 76 trombones! The Music Man will offer rush tickets at the Winter Garden Theatre box office on the day of each performance, beginning on December 20. The show is officially set to open on February 10.
A limited number of $49 rush tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis during box office hours: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Each person may purchase up to two tickets, and rush tickets are subject to availability.
The revival of Meredith Willson's classic musical stars Hugh Jackman as Professor Harold Hill, a con man posing as a music instructor. He promises to help small-town bands improve, but once he sells them instruments and uniforms, he absconds with their money. When he arrives in River City to enact his con, local librarian Marian Paroo (Sutton Foster) finds him out, but as she tries to stop him, the two start to fall in love.
