Dance revue Maurice Hines: Tappin' Thru Life has announced it will play its final performance at New World Stages this Sunday, 21 February 2016. It was originally scheduled to run through to 13 March 2016. Upon closing the production will have played 21 previews and 46 regular performances.

Maurice Hines commented:

"I have had an absolute ball bringing Maurice Hines Tappin Thru Life to New York. Since my brother and mother made their transition, I have been lonely but keeping them alive every night has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I am truly appreciative for all of the love and support the I receive nightly from audiences."
Maurice Hines: Tappin' Thru Life began previews on 23 December 2015 and officially opened on 11 January 2016.

Directed by two-time Tony nominee Jeff Calhoun, the production features scenic design by Tobin Ost, lighting design by Michael Gilliam and sound design by Michael Hahn.

Co-starring in the show alongside Maurice Hines are two of his discoveries, John Manzari and Leo Manzari, a pair of tap dancing siblings reminiscent of a young Maurice and his brother Gregory. The Diva Jazz Orchestra is led by drummer Sherrie Maricle.
