Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Joshua Boone join 'Joe Turner's Come and Gone' Broadway cast

The actors will join Taraji P. Henson and Cedric "The Entertainer" in the spring 2026 revival of August Wilson’s drama, directed by Debbie Allen.

Ruben Santiago-Hudson and Joshua Boone are newly announced to join Taraji P. Henson and Cedric "The Entertainer" in Joe Turner's Come and Gone on Broadway, playing from March 30 to July 12 with an April 25 opening night.

Tony Award winner Santiago-Hudson (This World of Tomorrow, Lackawanna Blues) will play Bynum Walker, and Tony and Grammy nominee Boone (The Outsiders) will play Herald Loomis. As previously announced, Henson and Cedric will play Seth and Bertha Holly, respectively.

Additional casting includes Savannah Commodore and Dominique Skye Turner sharing the role of Zonia Loomis, Bradley Stryker as Rutherford Selig, Tripp Taylor as Jeremy Furlow, Christopher Woodley and Jackson Edward Davis sharing the role of Reuben Scott, Maya Boyd as Molly Cunningham, Abigail C. Onwunali as Martha Pentecost, and Nimene Sierra Wureh as Mattie Campbell. Jasmine Batchelor, Rosalyn Coleman, Thomas Michael Hammond, Cayden McCoy, and Kevyn Morrow are understudies.

August Wilson's Joe Turner's Come and Gone follows a man who, after being released from an illegal enslavement, arrives at the Hollys' Pittsburgh boarding house in 1911, searching for his wife and his sense of self. Debbie Allen directs the second revival of the drama, which premiered on Broadway in 1988 and was first revived in 2009.
