Mon 10 Jan 2005 'Romance' announces full cast Atlantic Theater Company annouce the full cast for their world premiere of David Mamet's new comedy Romance, which will open at the Atlantic Theater on the 1 Mar 2005, following previews from the 9 Feb. This is a limited engagement through to the 3 Apr 2005. The full cast: Larry Bryggman (Judge), Steven Goldstein (Defendant), Steven Hawley (Bailiff), Bob Balaban (Prosecutor), Jim Frangione (Doctor), Keith Nobbs (Bernard), and Christopher Evan Welch (Defense Attorney). Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and Atlantic Theater Company co-founder David Mamet returns to Atlantic with the World Premiere of his new comedy. Set in a modern day courtroom, Romance is a farce about those things worth cherishing, and so worth making fun of. Romance will be directed by Neil Pepe, with set design by Robert Brill, costumes by Sarah Edwards, lighting by James S. Ingalls and sound by Obadiah Eaves. Biographies: Bob Balaban's Broadway credits include 'Plaza Suite', 'The Inspector General' and 'Speed the Plow'. Larry Bryggman's Broadway credits include 'Twelve Angry Men', 'Proof', 'Picnic', 'Prelude to a Kiss', 'Richard III', 'The Basic Training of Pavlo Hummel', and 'Ulysses in Nighttown'. Jim Frangione's previously appeared in Broadway in 'The Old Neighborhood'. Steven Goldstein's previously appeared in Broadway in 'Our Town'. Keith Nobbs' previously appeared in Broadway in 'The Lion in Winter'. Christopher Evan Welch's Broadway credits include 'The Crucible' and 'London Assurance'.
