Political Idol at the Triad

Freedom Toast presents Political Idol, a musical comedy revue spoofing the upcoming presidential elections, opening at the Triad on 16 Mar 2008, following previews from 9 Mar and running through to 27 Apr 2008. The show plays on Sunday's only.

Political Idol: A spoof of the upcoming presidential elections. In this new updated version, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama fight it out for the Democratic Nomination, and John McCain searches for the perfect running mate.

At every performance, audience members will cast their vote for their favorite candidate----- candidates audition for the role of president and sing self-mocking twisted takes on popular songs for the audience votes!

Directed by Julie Blanciak, Political Idol features Lara Buck (Hillary Clinton, Laura Bush, Ann Coulter, Dennis Kucinich and others), Enga Davis (Barack Obama, Al Sharpton, Tina Turner, Condolezza Rice and others), Joe DiSalle (Al Gore, Fred Thompson, Ronald Reagan, Dick Cheney and others) and Robert Yarnall (Bill Clinton, George Bush, Rudy Giuliani, John Edwards and others).

Costumes for the show are by Kat Martin.
