Playwrights Horizons presents The Qualms

Playwrights Horizons has announced a sixth production, to conclude its 2014/2015 Season: the New York premiere of The Qualms, a new play by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Bruce Norris, directed by Pam MacKinnon, at Playwrights Horizons' Main Stage Theater from 22 May 2015.

Synopsis: 'Thou shalt covet thy neighbor's wife. And thy neighbor, too, at this suburban get-together for partner-swapping couples. Drawn in by The Lifestyle's promise of freedom and titillation, newly-married Chris and Kristy attend an alcohol-fueled party for swingers, only to find themselves at odds with the idea of free love and, suddenly, each other. Idealism devolves into chaos in this sharp, sardonic assault on the struggle for power, and the sexual politics of getting laid.'

Playwrights Horizons' 2014/2015 Season also comprises of the previously announced Bootycandy written and directed by Robert O'Hara, Grand Concourse by Heidi Schreck, directed by Kip Fagan; Pocatello by Samuel D. Hunter, directed by Davis McCallum; Placebo by Melissa James Gibson, directed by Daniel Aukin; and the musical Iowa, book by Jenny Schwartz, music and lyrics by Todd Almons, directed by Ken Rus Schmoll.
