Phillip Boykin, KC Dela Cruz join 'Hadestown' Broadway cast
The two actors step into leading roles in the eight-time Tony Award-winning Best Musical at the Walter Kerr Theatre beginning tonight, April 22.
Welcome back to the underground! Phillip Boykin and KC Dela Cruz step into starring roles of Hadestown on Broadway starting tonight, April 22, at the Walter Kerr Theatre.
Boykin will return to the role of Hades, which he previously played on Broadway from September 2023 to January 2025, and perform through August 31. In the middle of Boykin's run, Matthew Patrick Quinn will play Hades from May 20 to June 1.
Dela Cruz, the current understudy for the role of Eurydice, steps into the role full-time through May 4. As previously announced, Myra Molloy will take over the role on May 6 alongside Ali Louis Bourzgui as Orpheus.
Boykin and Dela Cruz replace Tom Hewitt and Hailey Kilgore, respectively. The current cast also includes Daniel Breaker as Hermes, Merle Dandridge as Persephone, Carlos Valdes as Orpheus, and Marla Louissaint, Jessie Shelton, and Kay Trinidad as the Fates.
