'Paranormal Activity' Broadway cast announced

The new stage play, inspired by the world of the hit horror film series, will start NYC performances at the August Wilson Theatre in mid-August.

Boo! Casting has been set for Paranormal Activity on Broadway ahead of its first performance at the August Wilson Theatre on August 14. Opening night is September 15.

The Paranormal Activity Broadway cast includes Cher Álvarez as Lou, Travis A. Knight as James, Shannon Cochran as Carolanne, and Andrea Syglowski as Etheline Cotgrave, with Caron Buinis, Caroline Hendricks, and Michael Holding as understudies.

All but Syglowski are making their Broadway debuts and reprising their roles from previous Paranormal Activity productions across North America. The entire cast will also perform in Paranormal Activity in Boston right before the Broadway run.

As previously announced, the creative team includes director Felix Barrett, scenic and costume designer Fly Davis, illusion designer Chris Fisher, lighting designer Anna Watson, sound designer Gareth Fry, and video and projection designer Luke Halls.

Written by horror playwright Levi Holloway (Grey House), the Paranormal Activity stage show features a new story inspired by the hit film series. When James and Lou move from Chicago to London to escape their past, they realize it's not a place that's haunted, but people.
