Mrs Scrooge, starring Lara Parker at the Producer's Club

Lara Parker stars in Mrs Scrooge, Peter Mac's adaptation of A Christmas Carol, playing at Producer's Club (Royal Theatre) on the 15 & 16 Dec 2007.

This is a special benefit performance to raise funds for Help Is On The Way Today, a charity that assists children with HIV and Aids.

Mrs Scrooge: In this present day version of A Christmas Carol we see miserly, money hungry and power ridden Ebba N. Scrooge. She is estranged from her nephew Fred, a complete nightmare to her employees, and preferring software programs to people. Set in modern day Manhattan, while retaining much of the original Dickens flavor, to that end Ebba has just one Christmas Eve to learn the true meaning of the season and warm her cold uncaring heart.

Directed by Peter Mac, Mrs Scrooge also features Leon Hall, Aaron Lee Battle, Robert H. Fowler, Marla Green, Frantz Hall, Jean Ann Kump, Noelle Pasatieri and Jay Rogers. Lara Parker plays the evil Witch 'Angelique' on ABC's cult classic soap opera 'Dark Shadows'.
