ta-da!, a new solo comedy show written and performed by Josh Sharp, will play a limited run off Broadway this summer. Performances run at the Greenwich House Theater from July 7 to August 23, with opening night set for July 21.

New York-based actor, writer and comedian Sharp is best known as a writer, executive producer, and star of the A24 film Dicks: The Musical, winning the Midnight Madness People's Award at the Toronto International Film Festival. He has starred in HBO's Search Party, TruTV's At Home with Amy Sedaris, and Netflix's The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show.

In ta-da!, he performs "a one-man comedy show inside of a manic 2,000 slide PowerPoint." The show contains dumb but clever jokes, sad but sweet stories, and "the Herculean feat of stupidity that is memorizing a slide every 2.1 seconds."

“As a gay comedian, I'm thrilled to finally fulfill my birthright: an off-Broadway run in the former home of Immersive Sweeney Todd in The Pie Shop,” Sharp said in a statement. “But for real, this show and the stories in it are dear to me and I'm so excited to bring them to a wider, smarter, and hotter theatregoing audience.

“Mostly, though, performing it every night will finally give me a chance to really nail the impossible task of this show, which is memorizing 2,000 stage cues. I promise to make you laugh, and to give you an air-conditioned spot to have 1-2 cocktails before you spend a night out in New York’s West Village (notably of Sex and the City fame).”

Sam Pinkleton, the 2025 Tony Award-nominated director of Oh, Mary!, directs ta-da! “When I saw Josh Sharp do an earlier version of this show it was like nothing I've ever seen before: an utterly breathless, indescribable, idiotic feat of theatrical wizardry,” Pinkleton said in a statement. “If it is anything less this time around, I will be the one to blame.”

ta-da! also features scenic design by Meredith Ries, lighting design by Cha See (Oh, Mary!), co-video design by Stivo Arnoczy, and magic by Skylar Fox.
