Jeremy Shamos, Crystal Finn, more to star in 'ANON: a tempest at our kitchen table' off Broadway

The latest play by Anne Washburn will kick off MCC Theater's 2026-27 season with performances starting in late September.

MCC Theater has named the full cast and creative team for ANON: a tempest at our kitchen table off Broadway, written by Anne Washburn and directed by Obie Award winner and Tony Award nominee Anne Kauffman.

The ANON Off-Broadway cast includes Jeff Biehl (The Burning Cauldron of Fiery Fire), Crystal Finn (Cold War Choir Practice), Andrew Garman (The Holdovers), Izabel Mar (Family), and Obie Award winner and Tony Award nominee Jeremy Shamos (Clybourne Park).

ANON will also feature scenic design by dots, costume design by Brenda Abbandandolo, lighting design by Cha See, sound design by Tei Blow, projection design by Jared Mezzocchi, and props supervision by Andrew Diaz.

The action of Washburn's play begins when a gay pride flag is unfurled in a Texas suburb and two seemingly different households freak out, calling into question how well you can really know your neighbors.

ANON: a tempest at our kitchen table runs from September 25 to November 1 as the first production in MCC's 40th-anniversary season. Opening night is October 14.
