Entertaining Mr. Sloane: Centers on a handsome stranger with a secret, his libidinous landlady, her gender-bending brother and geriatric father. Kaths language may be prim but her intentions are blatant when she picks up Mr. Sloane and takes him in as a lodger. Attractive, mischievous and dangerous, Sloane eventually has Kath, her brother Ed and their father Kemp (ating out of his hand as they all compete for his favors. Together they play out a sexual tug of war, sparking a series of murderously funny events in this survival of the fittest power struggle where they will resort to anything to get what they want.

The design team for Entertaining Mr. Sloane includes Allen Moyer (sets), Michael Krass (costumes), Ken Posner (lights) and John Gromada (sound).

Entertaining Mr. Sloane made its World premiere at the New Arts Theatre in London on the 6 May 1964 before transferring to the Wyndham's Theatre in the West End in June 1964 and then to the Queen's Theatre in October 1964. One of the English theaters biggest hits, it won the London Drama Critics' Best Play Award before premiering on Broadway at the Lyceum Theatre in October 1965. Entertaining Mr. Sloane was most recently revived Off-Broadway in 1996 at the Classic Stage Company.
