Larry Tee is the organizer of Electroclash 2001-02, The Outsider Electronic Music Festival 2003 and is CEO of Mogul Electro Records. Tee is a champion of the nu-Electro scene. Through his Brooklyn nightclub Luxx and his legendary parties like Club Badd, Berliniamsburg and Electroclash Events, Tee has worked with virtually everyone in the genre including: Fischerspooner, Peaches, Chicks on Speed, Felix da Housecat, W.I.T., Avenue D, Adult, DJ Hell, Tiga, BIS, Ladytron, Arthur Baker, 2manyDjs and the Detroit Grand Pubas. Larry Tee is from Atlanta, Georgia. In the 1980s, he DJed clubs and promoted shows for 10,000 Maniacs, The Butthole Surfers and The Black Crows. Following his move to NYC, he launched the career of RuPaul by writing Billboard #1 dance single of the year 1993 'Supermodel (You Better Work)'. After DJing house clubs for 10 years, Larry lost interest in mainstream dance and began searching for an alternative in underground record shops. He found inspiration in early singles by Adult and Chicks on Speed. Following a trip to see Fischerspooner at Gavin Browns Gallery in 2000, Tee compiled a collection of the best New York electro artists. In 2001, Tee coined the term 'Electroclash' and began work on his first festival. In October 2001, Fischerspooner, Peaches, Chicks on Speed, Adult, Detroit Grand Pubas, W.I.T., A.R.E. Weapons, Ladytron DJ Team, DJ Assault, Crossover and Soviet came together for an event that got the world talking about the music. Tees Electroclash compilation hit the streets in 2002 on Mogul Electro. Badd Inc., a compilation of the hard-to-find outrageous tracks that made Tees nightclub, Berliniamsburg so special, was also released in 02. In addition to producing the 2002 Electroclash Festival, Tee also planned the sold-out 20-city Electroclash tour across America with Peaches, Chicks on Speed W.I.T. and Tracy & the Plastics. Tee was the tour MC and deejay. In the last year, Tee has completed three 3-week UK tours, 5 dates in Europe, he has DJed in Japan and did a three week sold-out DJ tour of South America. He produced a music festival in Moscow and produced the Outsider Electronic Music Festival in NYC on Dec 12, 2003. The international media has exploded with interest in the Electrodiskopunk phenomenon due in part to Tees extensive DJing and savvy. Larry Tees sound and remix style can be heard in the movie "Party Monster" that features 3 of his tracks and on several remixes that are currently on the Billboard charts. Tee has brought success to artists like t.a.T.u., W.I.T., Avenue D. (Licensed to More Protein), New Order and more. Marking Tees impact on the music scene, his girl-group W.I.T. released their debut album in March 2003. Also in March, Moonshine Records released the "Larry Tee Electroclash Mix" CD, welcoming Tee into a select few of internationally recognized and celebrated DJs. Tee is currently collaborating with veteran producer/songwriter Vince Clarke and Gareth Jones (Erasure, Yaz, and Depeche Mode) and legendary producer Mark Bell (Bjork, Depeche Mode, LFO), Princess Superstar, and Andy Bell (Erasure) on his new solo album.
