Beanie Feldstein to depart ‘Funny Girl’ in July
Feldstein plays Fanny Brice in the production.
Beanie Feldstein will be the greatest star in Funny Girl on Broadway for three more weeks. Feldstein will depart from Funny Girl on July 31, moving up the previously scheduled departure date of September 25. Funny Girl is at the August Wilson Theatre.
In an Instagram post shared on her social media, Feldstein said: "Playing Fanny Brice on Broadway has been a lifelong dream of mine, and doing so for the last few months has been a great joy and true honor." The Funny Girl production has teased a new casting announcement for today at 1pm ET.
Funny Girl follows Fanny Brice, a Ziegfeld Follies star who tries to make it big. Funny Girl features songs including "Don't Rain On My Parade," and "People." Find out more about Funny Girl on New York Theatre Guide.
The current Funny Girl cast includes Ramin Karimloo as Nick Arnstein, Jane Lynch as Mrs. Rosie Brice, Jared Grimes as Eddie Ryan.
Funny Girl is at the August Wilson Theatre.
