'Back to the Future' to offer Broadway rush and lottery tickets

The award-winning musical adaptation of the film, which transfers to New York from London, begins performances on June 30 at the Winter Garden Theatre.

There are tickets in your future! Back to the Future will offer rush and lottery tickets for its Broadway run, which begins June 30 at the Winter Garden Theatre.

Back to the Future has a digital lottery for $45 tickets. The lottery is open for entries from midnight to 3 p.m. the day before each performance, and winners are drawn at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Winners may purchase up to two tickets for the next day's performance.

There is also an in-person rush for $40 same-day tickets. Rush tickets are available for each day's performance on a first-come, first-served basis at the Winter Garden box office. Tickets are subject to availability, and each person can purchase up to two tickets.

Back to the Future is based on the same-named hit film, in which teenager Marty McFly travels back in time with the help of the scientist Doc. But when he goes from 1985 to 1955, he almost stops his parents from meeting, and he has to get them back together to save his own future.

The musical adaptation premiered in London, where it won the Olivier Award for Best New Musical. Tony winner Roger Bart reprises his role as Doc from the London production alongside Casey Likes as Marty McFly, Olivier Award nominee Hugh Coles as George McFly (also reprising his London role), Liana Hunt as Lorraine Baines, Jelani Remy as Goldie Wilson/Marvin Berry, and Nathaniel Hackmann as Biff Tannen.
