"Orange Is the New Black" star Annie Golden will star in the New York premiere of Broadway Bounty Hunter - a new musical comedy by Joe Iconis (currently represented on Broadway by Be More Chill). The limited off-Broadway engagement, directed and choreographed by Jennifer Werner, is set to play the Greenwich House Theater from July 9 through to September 15, 2019, with an official opening scheduled for July 23.

Ms. Golden is perhaps best known for her TV role of Norma Romano in four seasons of Netflix's "Orange Is the New Black" (from 2013 to 2017), as well as her film roles as Jeannie Ryan in "Hair " and Eudora in "I Love You Phillip Morris". Her Broadway credits include HairLeader of the Pack, Ah, Wilderness!, On the Town, The Full Monty, and Violet, and she also originated the Off-Broadway role of Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme in Stephen Sondheim's Assassins.

Broadway Bounty Hunter features music and lyrics by Joe Iconis, with a book by Mr. Iconis, Lance Rubin, and Jason SweetTooth Williams.

Synopsis: "Broadway Bounty Hunter is a fierce, funny and fearless new musical comedy inspired by the exploitation movies of the 1970s. Annie, a down-on-her-luck actress of a certain age, is asked to become a bounty hunter and capture a South American drug lord, as the musical chronicles a woman's journey to find her inner strength and true badass identity - and save the theatre."

The creative team features music supervision and orchestrations by Charlie Rosen, vocal arrangements by Joel Waggoner, music direction by Geoffrey Ko, scenic design by Michael Schweikardt, lighting design by Jules Fisher and Peggy Eisenhauer, costume & wig design by Sarafina Bush, projection design by Brad Peterson, and sound design by Cody Spencer, with Nehemiah Luckett serving as Artistic Consultant.

Broadway Bounty Hunter held its world premiere at Barrington Stage in 2016 and the Off-Broadway premiere is produced by Jennifer Ashley Tepper and Allison Bressi.
