Afterglow is set to end its off-Broadway run at the Davenport Theatre
Afterglow is set to play its final performance on August 12, 2018.
Midnight Theatricals has announced a final extension for the hit off-Broadway play Afterglow, written and directed by S. Asher Gelman, which will play its final performance at the Davenport Theatre on August 12, 2018. The three-hander began previews on June 12, 2017, before officially opening on June 23.
Future productions of Afterglow are now already in development for Salt Lake City, where it will make its regional debut this fall, as well as Amsterdam, Mexico City, and London's West End.
Synopsis: "Afterglow is a raw, one-act play exploring the emotional, intellectual, and physical connections between three men and the broader implications within their relationships. Josh and Alex, a married couple in an open relationship, invite Darius to share their bed one night. When a new intimate connection begins to form, all three men must come to terms with their individual definitions of love, loyalty, and trust as futures are questioned, relationships are shaken, and commitments are challenged."
The current cast of Afterglow includes Joe Chisholm (as Alex), Brandon Haagenson (as Josh), and David Merten (as Darius).
The creative team features scenic design by Ann Beyersdorfer, costume design by Fabian Aguilar, lighting design by Jamie Roderick, and sound design by Alex Dietz-Kest.
Warning: Afterglow contains scenes of nudity and patrons must be 18+ to attend.
Afterglow Tickets are available now for performances through to August 12, 2018.
