Cephas Jones is best known for originating the role of Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds in Hamilton off and on Broadway, for which she won Grammy and Emmy Awards. Other theatre credits include The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner and Cyrano off Broadway.
She is also known for playing Ashley in the 2018 movie Blindspotting and its subsequent TV spin-off of the same name. Additional screen credits include the films Mistress America and Monsters and Men and the TV series FreeRayshawn, for which she won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Actress in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series.
