The world premiere of KPOP was at Ars Nova in 2017. The KPOP cast in New York starred Mean Girls' Ashley Park and Be More Chill's Jason Tam.

KPOP has announced its full Broadway cast, joining the previously announced K-pop star Luna in the leading role. The show will begin performances this fall, playing its first show October 13 at the Circle in the Square Theatre.

K-pop has taken the world by storm, and now it's taking Broadway by storm. The new musical KPOP will join the 2022-2023 Broadway season, beginning performances October 13, 2022 at the Circle in the Square Theatre. Opening night is November 20. Leading the cast of KPOP is K-pop star Luna, making her Broadway debut. Luna was a member of the K-pop group f(x) beginning in 2009 and has since gone onto a successful solo career. She's also a musical theatre veteran, having appeared in Korean productions of musicals including Legally Blonde, In the Heights, and Mamma Mia!
