Get ready to hear them sing! The Broadway-bound musical Sing Street has set its cast for its run at Boston's Huntington Theatre, from August 26 to October 2. The show plans to transfer to Broadway afterward at a yet-unspecified date.

Based on the 2016 movie of the same name, Sing Street is set in 1980s Dublin, where a boy starts a band with his friends to escape his home life — and impress a girl. The musical adaptation had its world premiere at New York Theatre Workshop in 2019. That production was set to transfer to Broadway's Lyceum Theatre in spring 2020, but it was delayed indefinitely by the Covid-19 pandemic. The 2022 pre-Broadway production in Boston features an almost entirely new cast.

The Boston cast includes Adam Bregman as Conor Lawlor, Michael Lepore as Gary, Courtnee Carter as Raphina, Billy Carter as Robert Lawlor, Dónal Finn as Brendan Lawlor, Alexa Xioufaridou Moster as Anne Lawlor, Dee Roscioli as Penny Lawlor, Jack DiFalco as Barry Bray, Anthony Genovesi as Declan, Diego Lucano as Darren Mulvey, Elijah Lyons as Larry, Anne L. Nathan as Sandra, Gian Perez as Kevin, Armand Schultz as Brother Baxter, and Ben Wang as Eamon.

Gable Kinsman, Ale Philippides, and Virginia Vogel have been cast as understudies.

The Sing Street musical features a book by Enda Walsh and music and lyrics by John Carney and Gary Clark. Carney wrote and directed the original Sing Street film.
