Popcorn Falls announces off-Broadway closing date
The Christian Borle-helmed comedy Popcorn Falls will play its final performance on November 25, 2018.
Producers of the off-Broadway comedy Popcorn Falls, written by James Hindman and directed by two-time Tony Award winner Christian Borle, have announced a closing date of November 25, 2018, at the Davenport Theatre. The production began previews on September 14, 2018, officially opened on October 8, and, upon closing, will have played a total of 28 previews and 56 regular performances.
Synopsis: "Welcome to Popcorn Falls, a small American town, whose only claim to fame - their namesake waterfall - has dried up. Now bankrupt, their last chance is a large grant that can only be used if the town produces a play in a week. Led by the Mayor and the local handyman, the enterprising townsfolk try to rise to the challenge and prove that art can save the world."
The cast of Popcorn Falls includes Adam Heller and Tom Souhrada, who play over twenty roles in under ninety minutes.
The creative team features scenic design by Tim Mackabee, lighting design by Jeff Croiter, costume design by Joseph La Corte, with original music and sound design by Jeffrey Lodin.
Popcorn Falls marks the New York directorial debut for Broadway favorite and two-time Tony Award winner Christian Borle and is produced off-Broadway by Schondeikkan Productions and D.T.R. Productions.
Popcorn Falls Tickets are available now for performances through to November 25, 2018.
