Tony Award nominee Kristine Nielsen completes the cast of the previously announced world premiere of Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus, a new comedy by Pulitzer Prize finalist Taylor Mac. She takes on the role of Carol and joins three-time Tony Award winner Nathan Lane (as Gary) and two-time Tony Award winner Andrea Martin (as Janice).

Kristine Nielsen earned a Tony Award nomination in 2013 for her performance as Sonia in Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. Her other Broadway credits include Present Laughter, You Can't Take It With You, Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson, Spring Awakening, The Green Bird, Jackie, and The Iceman Cometh. On television, she starred as Frau Schmidt in "The Sound of Music Live!" and recently appeared as Minnie Sayre in "Z: The Beginning of Everything".

Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus is set to begin previews at Broadway's Booth Theatre on March 5, 2019, ahead of an official opening on April 11.

Synopsis: "In Gary, Taylor Mac's singular world view intersects with Shakespeare's first tragedy, Titus Andronicus. In Mac's extraordinary new play, set during the fall of the Roman Empire, the years of bloody battles are over. The civil war has ended. The country has been stolen by madmen, and there are casualties everywhere (among them a midwife on the verge of death - Nielsen). And two very lowly servants - Lane and Martin - are charged with cleaning up the bodies. The year is 400 - but it feels like the end of the world."

Tony Award-winning director George C. Wolfe will helm the production, which will also feature scenic design by four-time Tony Award winner Santo Loquasto, costume design by Tony and Academy Award winner Ann Roth, and lighting design by nine-time Tony Award winner Jules Fisher & three-time Tony Award winner Peggy Eisenhauer.

Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus marks the Broadway debut for playwright Taylor Mac, who previously made his off-Broadway debut with Hir at Playwrights Horizons in 2015. He also conceived, wrote and starred in A 24-Decade History of Popular Music, and has previously appeared on stage for the Public Theater in Good Person of Szechwan in 2013 and for Classic Stage Company in A Midsummer Night's Dream in 2012.

Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus is produced on Broadway by Scott Rudin.

Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus Tickets are available now for performances from March 5 through to August 4, 2019.
