Like magic, the Friday Forty is back! The TodayTix app will once again host the lottery program for $40 tickets to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child ahead of the play's reopening. Now a one-part show with all-new staging, the show begins previews November 12 ahead of a December 7 opening night.

Through the Friday Forty program, people can enter a weekly drawing to win a $40 ticket to one of the following week's performances of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Participants can enter on the TodayTix app from midnight each Monday until 1 p.m. each Friday, when the drawing is held. Each person can request up to two tickets. Winners will be notified between 1 and 5 p.m. following the drawing and can pick up their tickets at the Lyric Theatre box office. The first drawing takes place on November 5 and opens for entries beginning November 1.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child first premiered on Broadway in 2018 as a two-part event. Now, the creative team, led by director John Tiffany, has reimagined J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and Tiffany's play as a one-part show. A continuation of the Harry Potter novels, Cursed Child  sees two generations of wizards — Harry and his former schoolmates, and all their children — swept up in a time-traveling adventure to defeat dark forces that have lingered since the Battle of Hogwarts 19 years prior. The action centers around Albus Severus, Harry Potter's own son.
