MCC Theater has set the complete cast and creative team for the Off-Broadway world premiere of the musical Walk on Through: Confessions of a Museum Novice. Performances run from November 13 to December 10.

Tony Award winner Gavin Creel (Into the Woods, Hair, Hello, Dolly!) wrote and stars in Walk on Through, which marks his theatrical songwriting debut. He is joined on stage by Sasha Allen, Madeline Benson, Chris Peters, Ryan Vasquez, and Scott Wasserman.

The complete creative team, joining previously announced director Linda Goodrich, includes scenic designer I. Javier Ameijeiras, costume designer Jeff Mahshie, lighting designer Jiyoun Chang, sound designer Alex Neumann, and projection designer David Bengali. Orchestrations and arrangements are by Peters, Benson (who also serves as music director), and Wasserman (who is also the electronic music designer).

Creel conceived Walk on Through at the commission of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where he'd never been before, in 2019. The musical features 17 pop-infused songs, each based on a different artwork and the imagination, transformation, and self-discovery that each one inspired in Creel.
