Uzo Aduba and Ron Cephas-Jones to star in Lynn Nottage's ‘Clyde’s’

Casting for the world premiere of Lynn Nottage's Clyde's has been announced, ahead of a fall opening. Clyde's is at the Hayes Theater from November 3 - Jan. 16, 2022 and Clyde's tickets are on sale now. Find out more about Clyde's on Broadway here.
The cast includes Uzo Abuda, returning to Broadway for the first time in a decade after being in Godspell. Aduba is best known for playing Suzanne Warren also known as 'Crazy Eyes' in Orange is the New Black, but also has stage credits including Venice at the Public Theater and The Maids at Trafalgar Studios in London.
This Is Us' Ron Cephas Jones will also star. The Emmy Award-winning actor has previously been in the Of Mice and Men Broadway revival. Reza Salazar and Kara Young are also in the Clyde's company, with a fifth member to be announced.
Clyde's is the latest play by Lynn Nottage, which is set at a truck stop sandwich shop. While its owner gives incarcerated kitchen staff a second shot at life, creating the perfect sandwich is trickier than it seems.
Lynn Nottage is a Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright, whose winning works include Sweat and Ruined. Kate Whoriskey directs, with scenic design by Takeshi Kata, costume design by Jennifer Moeller, lighting design by Christopher Akerlind and sound design by Justin Ellington.
Following Clyde's at the Hayes Theater is Take Me Out. Take Me Out will begin performances from spring 2022.
