'The Skin of Our Teeth' to offer digital Broadway lottery and student rush
Thornton Wilder's play begins performances April 1.
See 5,000 years' worth of history for only $30 at The Skin of Our Teeth, Lincoln Center Theater's production of Thornton Wilder's Pulitzer Prize-winning play. A digital lottery and student rush tickets will be available for the play's Broadway run, which begins at the Vivian Beaumont Theater on April 1 and runs through May 29.
A limited number of $30 tickets will be available for each performance through the lottery. The lottery will be open for entries from midnight to 3 p.m. the day before each performance. Once the lottery closes, winners will be notified by email and must promptly purchase their tickets for the next day's performance online. Each person can enter once per day and can request up to two tickets.
Additionally, student rush tickets will be available for $32 beginning two hours before each performance. Students must show a valid college or university ID and can purchase one ticket per performance.
The Skin of Our Teeth follows the Antrobus family, who reside in Excelsior, New Jersey and have lived through 5,000 years. Each of the play's three acts sees them weathering a major world event: a biblical flood, an ice age, and a war. Wilder's comedic work celebrates human endurance and perseverance.
The cast is led by James Vincent Meredith, Roslyn Ruff, Paige Gilbert, and Julian Robertsonas the Antrobus family, Gabby Beans as their maid Sabina, and Tony Award winner Priscilla Lopez as the Fortune Teller. Lileana Blain-Cruz makes her Broadway directorial debut with the production.
