The reign is coming to an end. The Broadway musical The Queen of Versailles will close at the St. James Theatre on January 4.

Inspired by Lauren Greenfield’s 2012 documentary of the same name, The Queen of Versailles stars Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth and Oscar winner F. Murray Abraham as Jackie and David Siegel, whose plans to build America’s largest private home were derailed by the 2008 recession.

The main cast also includes Melody Butiu as Sofia Flores, Nina White as Victoria Siegel, Stephen DeRosa as John, Greg Hildreth as Gary, Tatum Grace Hopkins as Jonquil, and Isabel Keating as Debbie.

Lindsey Ferrentino (book) and Stephen Schwartz (music and lyrics) adapted The Queen of Versailles for the stage, and it came to Broadway in October following a summer 2024 world premiere in Boston. Michael Arden directs.
