The Half-God of Rainfall has set the full cast and creative team for its Off-Broadway premiere production this summer. New York Theatre Workshop and American Repertory Theater co-produce the play, which runs from July 13 to August 20.

Inua Ellams's show follows Demi, a half-Nigerian mortal, half-Greek god whose emotions control the waters and the skies. And when he steps onto a basketball court for the first time, he asserts control over the land. The play is a contemporary myth that spans time and the globe, going from Nigeria to a U.S. NBA arena to Mount Olympus and back.

The full cast of The Half-God of Rainfall includes Jason Bowen as Sàngó, Mister Fitzgerald as Demi, Patrice Johnson Chevannes as Osún, Michael Laurence as Zeus, Lizan Mitchell as Elegba, Jennifer Mogbock as Modúpé, and Alexandra Silber as Hera.

The creative team includes previously announced director Taibi Magar alongside movement director Orlando Patoboy, set designer Riccardo Hernandez, costume designer Linda Cho, lighting designer Stacey Derosier, sound designer Mikaal Sulaiman, projection designer Tal Yarden, intimacy director Ann James, and voice and dialect coach Dawn-Elin Fraser.
