The 2010 Brits Off-Broadway festival presents the US premiere of Clwyd Theatr Cymru's production of Pieces, by Hywel John, opening at 59E59's Theater C on 9 Nov 2010, following previews from 3 Nov and running through to 21 Nov 2010.

Pieces is a dark fable of loss and revenge. When childhood is shattered by grief can the pieces be reassembled?

Directed by Kate Wasserberg Pieces is performed by Louise Collins, Jennifer Kidd and Steven Meo. The design team features set and costume design by Mark Bailey, lighting by Tom White and sound by Andrea J. Cox.

Pieces is Hywel John's (playwright) first play, and is published by Nick Hern Books. Trained at The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Recent theatre credits include: 'The Glass Menagerie' (Clwyd Theatr Cymru), 'Macbeth' starring Patrick Stewart (Chichester, West End & Broadway), 'Angry Young Man' (Trafalgar Studios, Adelaide Festival, BAC, Edinburgh Festival) and 'Twelfth Night' (Chichester). Film credits include: "Macbeth" (BBC Films, PBS America & Illuminations). Hywel co- runs the award-winning MahWaff Theatre Company.

Kate Wasserberg (director) is New Plays Director at Clwyd Theatr Cymru where directing credits include 'Dancing at Lughnasa,' 'The Glass Menagerie' and 'A History of Falling Things.' Previously she was Associate Director of the Finborough Theatre, London, where she directed 'The Man,' 'Sons of York' and 'Little Madam,' all by James Graham and 'The Representative,' 'I Wish to Die Singing' and 'The New Morality.'
