Norbert Leo Butz to star in 'Cornelia Street' off Broadway

Atlantic Theater Company has set the cast for the new musical.

They rent a place on Cornelia Street! The world-premiere musical Cornelia Street has set its full cast. Performances run off Broadway at Atlantic Stage 2 from January 20 to February 26, with opening night on February 14.

Starring as Jacob Towney is two-time Tony Award winner Norbert Leo Butz (My Fair Lady, Wicked, Catch Me If You Can). The cast also includes George Abud as William, Esteban Andres Cruz as Philip, Gizel Jiménez as Misty, Jordan Lage as Daniel McCourt, Kevyn Morrow as Marty, Tony Award nominee Mary Beth Peil as Sarah, Lena Pepe as Patti, and Ben Rosenfield as John.

Cornelia Street follows Jacob, the owner of a restaurant in Manhattan's West Village that's running out of luck, money, and time. He tries to save it for the sake of its patrons and his daughter, so he can help support her dreams.

The musical features a book by Simon Stephens, original music and lyrics by Mark Eitzel, and choreography by Hope Boykin. Neil Pepe directs.

Cornelia Street also features scenic design by Scott Pask, costume design by Linda Cho, lighting design by Stacey Derosier, sound design by Kai Harada, music direction by Chris Fenwick, orchestrations by John Clancy, and music contractor Antoine Silverman.
