The musical adaptation of the 1993 film Mrs. Doubtfire follows Daniel Hillard, an out-of-work actor who separates from his wife but wants to see his children. He adopts the disguise of Euphegenia Doubtfire and goes to work as a nanny for his kids in an attempt to spend more time with them. The musical was scheduled to open in spring 2020 and played three preview performances before the pandemic shut down all Broadway theatres.
