We couldn't be happier! Wicked has announced two new Broadway cast members. Tony Award winner Michele Pawk will step into the role of Madame Morrible on December 12, and Michael Wartella has just returned to the role of Boq, beginning November 15.

Pawk — whose previous Broadway credits include Beautiful, Hairspray, Mamma Mia, Hollywood Arms, Chicago, and Cabaret — will replace Sharon Sachs, who plays her final performance on December 11. Wartella, who last played Boq from 2013-2014, now replaces Jordan Barrow.

Wicked is a prequel to The Wizard of Oz, centering on how Glinda came to be the Good Witch and Elphaba came to be the Wicked Witch of the West — perhaps wrongly. The fan-favorite musical has been running since 2003 and includes popular showtunes like "Defying Gravity" and "For Good."

Who is in the Broadway Wicked cast?

The current Wicked cast includes Talia Suskauer as Elphaba, Brittney Johnson as Glinda, Cleavant Derricks as The Wizard, James D. Gish as Fiyero, Clifton Davis as Doctor Dillamond, Michael Wartella as Boq, and Mikayla Renfrow as Nessarose. Michele Pawk will replace Sharon Sachs in the role of Madame Morrible beginning December 12.
