Welcome back to Oz! Tony Award nominee Derek Klena will star in Wicked on Broadway for two weeks only, stepping into the role of Fiyero from May 27 to June 8 only at the Gershwin Theatre.

Klena made his Broadway debut as Fiyero in 2013. He went on to star in Broadway shows like The Bridges of Madison County, Anastasia, and Moulin Rouge! The Musical and earned a Tony Award nomination for Jagged Little Pill.

He joins a cast that also includes Lencia Kebede and Allie Trimm as Elphaba and Glinda, with NaTasha Yvette Williams as Madame Morrible, Jenna Bainbridge as Nessarose, Daniel Quadrino as Boq, Brad Oscar as the Wizard, and William Youmans as Doctor Dillamond.

Jordan Litz, who currently stars as Fiyero, will return to the show on June 10.

A prequel to the events of The Wizard of Oz, Wicked follows Elphaba — later known as the Wicked Witch of the West — and Glinda the Good Witch during their times as friends and roommates at school. The NYC production is the fourth-longest-running Broadway show of all time, and the first part of a hit movie musical adaptation was released last fall, with Part 2 slated for release this November.
