Look, it's Glinda! McKenzie Kurtz will join the cast of Wicked on Broadway as Glinda, beginning February 14. Brittney Johnson, who currently plays the role and became the first Black woman to do so, departs the show on February 12.

Kurtz previously played Anna in Frozen's Broadway and touring productions, Penelope in the musical adaptation of Trading Places, and Heather on the TV series She-Hulk.

Wicked has played the Gershwin Theatre since 2003. The musical follows the unlikely friendship between Elphaba — the Wicked Witch of the West — and Glinda the Good Witch as school roommates, before their friendship is tested and broken when one is deemed good and the other wicked.

Who is in the Wicked Broadway cast?

The current Wicked Broadway cast includes Talia Suskauer as Elphaba, Cleavant Derricks as The Wizard, Michele Pawk as Madame Morrible, James D. Gish as Fiyero, Clifton Davis as Doctor Dillamond, Mikayla Renfrow as Nessarose, and Michael Wartella as Boq. McKenzie Kurtz replaces Brittney Johnson as Glinda from February 14.
