The show will open at Stage 42 this summer.
Everybody say yeah! The Off-Broadway revival of Kinky Boots has set its cast, which includes former cast members of the original Broadway production. Kinky Boots will play Stage 42 beginning July 26, with opening night on August 25.

The principal cast also includes Christian Douglas as Charlie Price, Danielle Hope as Lauren, Brianna Stoute as Nicola, Sean Steele as Don, and Marcus Neville as George, a role he played on Broadway. Stoute and Steele are making their Off-Broadway debuts.
The cast also includes Devin Bowles, Bella Coppola, Nick Drake, Ian Gallagher Fitzgerald, Ryan Halsaver, Matthew Michael Janisse, Lindsay Joan, Kevin Smith Kirkwood, Marty Lauter, Tommy Martinez, Ryah Nixon, Lucas Pastrana, Liz Pearce, Ricky Shroeder, David J. Socolar, Ebrin R. Stanley, Tarion Strong, Ernest T. Williams, and Maria Wirries.
Kinky Boots tells the story of Charlie, the heir to a failing shoe factory. Business gets a lift when he meets the drag queen Lola, and the factory finds its niche making sturdy high heels for drag queens. The four-star New York Theatre Guide review describes the musical as "It's A Wonderful Life meets La Cage Aux Folles."
This uplifting story of acceptance played at Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre from 2013 to 2019 and won six 2013 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
Kinky Boots features a score by Cyndi Lauper and a book by Harvey Fierstein. Jerry Mitchell, who directed the Broadway production, returns to direct the Off-Broadway encore.
