'How I Learned to Drive' to offer Broadway rush tickets on TodayTix

Fasten your seatbelts and get ready for How I Learned to Drive. Paula Vogel's Pulitzer Prize-winning play will offer rush tickets for its Broadway-premiere run. Performances run at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre from March 29 to May 29, and opening night is April 19.
How I Learned to Drive rush tickets are $35 and are available on the TodayTix app. Rush tickets are same-day tickets for that afternoon's or evening's performance. Users can download the app and "unlock" rush tickets by sharing the rush program on social media before their desired performance day. At 10 a.m. each performance day, a limited number of rush tickets becomes available for purchase on a first-come, first-served basis. Each user can purchase one or two tickets, and seating locations are subject to availability.
How I Learned to Drive centers on Li'l Bit, a grown woman who was sexually abused by her Uncle Peck as a girl. In the play, she relives a series of memories of his abuse and of her family from her adolescent years in order to move on and regain control of her life. Vogel's play received numerous awards upon its premiere at Vineyard Theatre in 1998, including acting awards for its stars, Mary-Louise Parker and David Morse. Now, the two, along with their original director Mark Brokaw, reunite for the play's Broadway debut.
