Complete casting announced for Broadway premiere of Mrs. Doubtfire

​The stage adaptation of Mrs. Doubtfire will begin performances at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on March 9, 2020.

​The full cast for the Broadway premiere of Mrs. Doubtfire at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre has been announced, starring alongside Rob McClure as the titular character. Following the musical's pre-Broadway engagement in Seattle, Mrs. Doubtfire begins its Broadway engagement on March 9, 2020, ahead of an official opening on April 5.

The Mrs. Doubtfire cast is completed by Cameron Adams, Akilah Ayanna, Calvin L. Cooper, Kaleigh Cronin, Casey Garvin, Maria Dalanno, David Hibbard, KJ Hippensteel, Aaron Kaburick, Erica Mansfield, Brian Martin, Alexandra Matteo, Sam Middleton, Doreen Montalvo, LaQuet Sharnell Pringle, Jaquez André Sims, Lily Tamburo, Travis Waldschmidt and Aléna Watters.

They'll join the previously announced Rob McClure (as Daniel Hillard/Euphegenia Doubtfire), Jenn Gambatese (as Miranda Hillard), Peter Bartlett (as Mr. Jolly), Charity Angél Dawson (as Wanda Sellner), Mark Evans (as Stuart Dunmire), J. Harrison Ghee (as Andre Mayem), Analise Scarpaci (as Lydia Hillard), Jake Ryan Flynn (as Christopher Hillard), Avery Sell (as Natalie Hillard), and Brad Oscar (as Frank Hillard).

The movie "Mrs. Doubtfire" is based on the 1987 novel Alias Madame Doubtfire by Anne Fine and was released in November 1993, becoming the highest-grossing comedy of that year with global sales of $441,286,195 at the worldwide box office. The film went on to win the Golden Globe in January 1994 in the category of "Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy," whilst its star, the late Robin Williams, took home the Golden Globe for "Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy." The cast also included Sally Field, Pierce Brosnan, and Harvey Fierstein.

The pre-Broadway world premiere engagement began performances at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre on November 26, 2019, ahead of an official opening on December 13 and a limited run through December 29, 2019.

Synopsis: "When out-of-work actor Daniel Hillard loses custody of his kids in a divorce, he disguises himself as Scottish nanny Euphegenia Doubtfire in a desperate attempt to stay in their lives. As he gets lost in his new persona and grows closer to his kids, Mrs. Doubtfire teaches Daniel more than he bargained for about how to be a father."

The creative team behind Mrs. Doubtfire features choreography by Lorin Latarro, music supervision by Ethan Popp, scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Catherine Zuber, lighting design by Philip Rosenberg, sound design by Brian Ronan, and hair & wig design by David Brian Brown.

Mrs. Doubtfire is presented by special arrangement with Buena Vista Theatrical.

Mrs. Doubtfire Tickets are available now for performances from March 9 through September 13, 2020.
