The festive circus offering is back at Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden.
After a 2019 premiere, Cirque du Soleil's Christmassy circus extravaganza 'Twas the Night Before... will wow New York audiences once more, as it returns for the festive season. 'Twas the Night Before... is at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden from December 9 - 27.
'Twas the Night Before... follows Isabella, a young girl who wants to know why Christmas is so important, and is eventually whisked away to a new world. 'Twas the Night Before... is a new spin on the well-known Christmas poem by Clement Clarke Moore, filled with larger-than-life characters and the magic of Cirque du Soleil.
Before performances in New York, 'Twas the Night Before... is at the Chicago Theatre in Chicago, Il from November 26 - December 5.
In a five star review of 'Twas the Night Before... from 2019, Holli Harms said: "Cirque du Soleil has reinvented the story with acrobats and jugglers and magicians and gravity-defying humans as well as spectacular roller skating, dancing, music, lights, sets, and costumes - you will be awed. A smile smashed across your face, you will clap and cheer and wish that this was not just 77 minutes long but forever long."
Even though it's summertime, New York theatres are beginning to gear up for the Christmas season. As well as Cirque du Soleil's upcoming show, the Christmas Spectacular starring the Radio City Rockettes will return to Radio City Music Hall from November 5 - Jan. 2, 2022.
