Chloë Grace Moretz to star in 'Caroline' off Broadway
Complete casting has been announced for Preston Max Allen's world-premiere play, directed by David Cromer and presented by MCC Theater in September.
Chloë Grace Moretz will lead the cast of the world premiere of Caroline off Broadway, a new play running at MCC Theater from September 12 to October 19. Opening night is September 30.
The star of The Miseducation of Cameron Post, Kick-Ass, and The Peripheral will star as Maddie opposite Amy Landecker (Bug, Transparent) as Rhea and River Lipe-Smith as Caroline.
Moretz and Landecker return to the NYC stage for the first time in over a decade, and Lipe-Smith makes her Off-Broadway debut.
Caroline also features scenic design by Lee Jellinek; costume design by David Hyman; sound design by Christopher Darbassie; voice, text, and dialect coaching by Gigi Buffington; makeup design by Suki Tsujimoto, and properties supervision by Samantha Shoffner.
Written by Preston Max Allen and directed by Tony Award winner David Cromer, Caroline three generations of mothers and daughters: Maddie, her estranged mother Rhea, and her daughter Caroline. When Maddie is forced to seek Rhea's help, she finds herself unable to shield her daughter from the circumstances that broke their family apart.
