Midnight has struck for Bad Cinderella. The musical has announced its closing, playing its final performance at the Imperial Theatre on June 4. At the time of closing, the show will have played 115 total performances.

Bad Cinderella, which premiered in London in 2021 under the title Cinderella before moving to Broadway, is a revamp of the classic fairytale. The title maid is the loudmouthed, snarky outcast in a town obsessed with beauty and perfection. She eventually undergoes a makeover to win the heart of her friend, Prince Sebastian, but soon learns outer beauty isn't the key to love.

The principal Bad Cinderella Broadway cast features Linedy Genao as Cinderella, Carolee Carmello as the Stepmother, Grace McLean as the Queen, Jordan Dobson as Sebastian, Sami Gayle as Adele, Morgan Higgins as Marie, Cameron Loyal as Prince Charming, Christina Acosta Robinson as the Godmother, and Savy Jackson as the Cinderella alternate.

Bad Cinderella features music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by David Zippel, and a book by Emerald Fennell. When the show closes, it will be the first time in 43 years that Webber will not have had a show on Broadway.
