Martin Freeman makes his Broadway debut in Small Mouth Sounds at the Barrymore Theatre from February 18, 2027.
Freeman has performed in numerous plays in London, beginning with Volpone and Mother Courage and her Children, both in 1995. Additional London theatre credits include Bruce Norris's Clybourne Park, Shakespeare's Richard III, the docudrama The Exonerated, James Graham's Labour of Love, and more.
He is best known, however, for his TV and film career, with notable roles including Tim Canterbury in the original U.K. version of The Office, Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit films, Dr. John Watson in BBC’s Sherlock (BAFTA Award), and Lester Nygaard in Fargo. Additional film credits include Love Actually as John and multiple Marvel Cinematic Universe films and TV series as Everett K. Ross.
