Hiller is best known for his Emmy Award-winning performance as Joel on HBO's Somebody Somewhere. Additional TV credits include Guiding Light, Ugly Betty, 30 Rock, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Psych, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and Community.

He has performed on and off Broadway as John Quincy Adams in the musical Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, and off Broadway in Urinetown and Drew Droege's Bright Colors and Bold Patterns, directed by Michael Urie.
